Rose: Hi Sister Maya,
Besides riding motorcycles...what do you like to do here in sl?
Maya: I have a wide circle of friends so hanging out being social is always a good time, and exploring. I love the creativity and the vision people show; a really well designed sim that makes me ask questions is great.
I call that the wow Factor. I love the element of Wow in people and places. There are amazing people and not enough time to see or talk or do them all. I wish I had done some creating.
I feel like it should be my next step, whether its clothes or bikes or furniture or whatever that flows out of the mind of Maya. I'm not as good with the ways of doing so in SL but on my list of stuff to do is learn to create whether its art or things.
Rose: Of all the sims you have seen, which are your favorites?
Maya: There are two that come to mind, the Berlin 1920s sim is amazing and the details are spot on.
Also Innsmouth which is based on the stories of HP Lovecraft; horror stories the most famous based on the Myth of Cthulu.
These are Historical sims. You cant even go unless you change into period clothes, they have some freebies so you don't stick out. Innsmouth is based on a more fantastic world so there are a few surprises but the details are great there too.
Rose: How many bikes do you own?
Maya: One I bought and a few others. I've not found alot of bikes that really speak to me.
Rose: Of what you have, which is your favorite?
Maya: Oh of the ones I have my main bike is the Moto Bazzi Exile. It's not perfect but it is close to what I want.
Rose: Do you ever wish to do tuning or want more tuning ability?
Maya: That might help down the road, when I learn to create the bike of my dreams and I will need to learn to tune it. I've not really played with the tuning of the Moto Bazzi as they have worked really well for me. I'm short so I do wish it fit a teeny bit better but its not bad.
Rose: Do you have a favorite quote?
Maya: "There is no excellent beauty that hath not some strangeness in the proportion"…. Sir Francis Bacon Maya, my name, is the belief that everything, which one sees in this world is illusion, a product of the individual's own failed interpretation and self-delusion. ….Buddhism, that's another one.
Rose: If you have an extra 20,000 lindens...what would you spend it on?
Maya: I would consider a mesh body and all the trimming and try and help my friends and sisters. Try and pay it forward.
Rose: Any finishing comments sis?
Maya: I'm gonna give you all a quote and make you look it up. It's from the Jetsons Cartoon. "Eep Opp Ork Ah AH"
Rose Wolf: Eep Opp Ork Ah Ah!" - Silly sounding rock and roll song performed on episode "A Date With Jet Screamer" of the cartoon series THE JETSONS/ABC/1962-64.
Maya: On this particular tale, pop star "Jet Screamer" holds a contest and offers himself as first prize. Judy Jetson wants desperately to meet him and so she a writes a song for the contest. But her father George hates Jet Screamer, and tampers with her song lyrics by using a funny sounding phrase "Eep Opp Ork" that his son Elroy uses to communicate in code with his friends. Luckily, Judy's song wins and Jet Screamer performs his new song "Eep Opp Ork Ah-Ah!" to rave reviews at the Swivel Lounge where his TV show is taped. Actually, the phrase "Eep Opp Ork" (per Elroy) really means "Meet Me Tonight."
