ISMC Monthly Race Competition

Beginning July 1st, ISMC will be awarding monthly linden $ prizes to the top 3 fastest racers on our ISMC Race Track.
The Handicapped Leaderboard will be used to determine the fastest times for first, second and third positions during the monthly competitions.
Prize money for the monthly races is 300L$ for 1st place, 200$ for 2nd place and 100L$ for 3rd place.
Anyone can race but only ISMC members and supporters are eligible to win prizes. You may race as many laps as you like and any bike class may be used.
NOTE: Monthly winners are ineligible to win more then once every 3 months. Prize money will be awarded to those with the next fastest times.

Following is a detailed explanation on how the Handicapping is determined:
Each model of bike receives it’s own dynamic handicap which is automatically refined as more laps are done. This way Bike Speed potential and not individual rider skill is considered.
1. The average lap time using total laps by all avatars for each bike class is calculated
Example:
Model: Avg Lap Time
IK White 20
Mach1 Turbine 13
Moto Bazzi Chopper 33
2. The ratio of average lap time of each bike class to the IK White bike class is used to calculate the dynamic handicap for each bike class.
Note: The IK White Class is set as datum 1.0. Typically this is one of the commonly used bike classes.
Example:
Model: Avg Lap Time Handicap
IK White 20 1.0
Mach1 Turbine 13 20 /13 = 1.5
Moto Bazzi Chopper 33 20 / 33 = 0.6
3. The fastest handicapped lap time for each avatar is used to calculate the handicapped lap time.
Example:

1 Mary Moto Bazzi Chopper 24 0.6 24 x 0.6 = 14.4
4 Mary IK White 20 1.0 20 x 1.0 = 20

4. The Final Leaderboard ranking is the fastest handicapped lap time for each avatar.
